Youth Worker Brown Bag: COMMUNITY and CONNECTEDNESSS
10am to Noon

The Youth Worker Brown Bag requests your participation in our April Brown Bag on Monday, April 27th from 10am to Noon at Sports Basement in San Francisco.

While each of the YDPN Brown Bags focus on specific issues that affect youth workers and their jobs,
the objective of every session is connect, inspire, and create! Youth workers need to rely on their community network for professional and personal support, funding, best practices and organizational collaboration.
To support these goals April's Brown Bag Topic is CONNECTEDNESS & COMMUNITY.

In the March Brown Bag, we talked about evaluations. Participants developed some excellent theories about best practices, but still craved more tools. This month we will be looking at network building for your organizations, and evaluating the Brown Bags success in CONNECTING people.

Your participation and ideas are so important! Please come prepared to talk about connecting people, creating sustainable networks of Youth Workers, and BEING and FEELING more connected. We will sit in large groups as well as smaller affinity groups, so that EVERY YOUTH WORKER is connected at many points.

Our Affinity Groups have slightly changed!

Program Directors/Managers
Direct Line Staff
Advocates/Policy/Research (those who work on behalf of youth)
Transitional Age Youth/Entry Level Folks
Feel you don’t fit in?  Facilitate your own group!

UPDATE! The Youth Worker Brown Bags are co-sponsoring an Immersion Session at the National Conference on Volunteering and Service on June 23, 2009! Feedback generated at this Brown Bag will directly impact what we do at the Immersion Session. Make sure your voice is HEARD!
